Not sure if anyone can help - but can second year students go back, ie those living on campus again, before the new Freshers arrive or after even? I asked my son and he says they go back at the same time!

My reason for asking is that up in County College - there is hardly any parking now behind County Main with all the building work going on...it's going to be horrendous if all the students old and new arrive on the same day!!!

Hiya Rom! From what I remember, you can go back earlier but only a day or two if you haven't paid for over the summer period. You might want to check with Peter Lund, Graduate College Residence Officer on 01524 594699. He'd be able to put you straight. You're right though, parking will be hurrendous. It's dreamy at the moment but that's cos there's no students - that and there's no more queues in spar Wink Still miss them terribly though!

Hi Rachel - how are doing, hope you are well...and looking forward to the new academic year and the buzz about campus again? Smile Hopefully the message board will pick up again, fingers crossed! Smile

Thanks for the info - I'm sure even a day earlier will help, as our son is in County Main until Christmas...then in one of the new houses being built at the moment! Going to try and take up the bare minimum as it's all got to come home and then back again in the New Year!!! Confused Will probably give Peter a ring nearer the time to confirm!

You're welcome!

Alls well in Lancaster, and especially now we have some sunshine. I came back from Spain 2 weeks ago and my first week back was so chuffing miserable with the rain, I was doubly grumpy! But yes, definitely looking forward to having campus a bit more lively. We have lots of teenagers at the moment who are here for the 'Young Gifted and Talented' but you can't have a decent conversation with them Wink

That's an excellent idea to try and pop down a day earlier. Also, halve what your young'un took, then go through it again!

Best wishes!

Rachel

Ha ha - I know exactly what you mean, our younger son is just 16 and very hard work at the moment...walks around with the world on his shoulders!!! It's hard being 16!!! Wink Laughing
